Legally Bombed? Twitter has fun with Reese Witherspoon's arrest, bratty behavior

Heh. As Twitchy reported, poet Amanda Palmer urged empathy for Boston Bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev. Twitter users, including Fox News’ Greg Gutfeld rightly took her to task. But, what is this about actress Reese Witherspoon? Oh, she was arrested for disorderly conduct.

And acted like a celebrity brat, to boot.

A New York Times reporter was shocked that the news was missed. You know, because nothing else important was going on. Twitter users set him straight.

Truth, but the urge to mock was irresistible, even after Ms. Witherspoon issued an apology.

More from the Associated Press:

“Do you know my name?” Witherspoon is quoted as saying in a state trooper’s report. She also said: “You’re about to find out who I am” and “You’re about to be on national news,” according to the report.

“I clearly had one drink too many and I am deeply embarrassed about the things I said,” Witherspoon said. “It was definitely a scary situation and I was frightened for my husband, but that is no excuse. I was disrespectful to the officer who was just doing his job. The words I used that night definitely do not reflect who I am. I have nothing but respect for the police and I’m very sorry for my behavior.”

When desperately seeking moments of levity, mocking an entitled-feeling celebrity is a win.
