I spend time daily on TikTok because, as a political writer, I need to understand the political news and discourse young people consume. The reality is that most under-25s get their news from TikTok and Instagram, making these platforms impossible to ignore. Some content is so egregious that I share it on X to highlight it. Inevitably, I receive responses like 'just ignore them' or 'you're giving them the attention they want.'
You can't keep ignoring these people. She has hundreds of thousands of followers ALREADY on Tik Tok. She has convinced them all Charlie's killer was an alt-right groyper. Right now, surveys tell us only 30% of people think the killer was Leftist. That's because we aren't… https://t.co/6f7Lg41seb

I shared this thought on a video a few days ago. I don't believe ignoring maniacs will make them go away. Inevitably, they'll attract more and more attention and if no one is pushing back on their rhetoric, it goes unanswered.

Disinformation agents like Kimmel are responsible for that.
Only 30% of people know that Charlie Kirk's killer was a leftist because influential figures like Wajahat Ali and Jimmy Kimmel falsely claimed the perpetrator was a right-wing 'groyper,' and few challenged their narrative. This is like hearing a loud noise from your car and cranking up the radio to drown it out. You can ignore it temporarily, but eventually, it'll leave you stranded. My air conditioner is making a strange noise, and I know it's likely a problem. I don't have the funds to replace it, so I keep hoping it holds out. But ignoring it won't fix it. The issue won't vanish on its own; it'll only grow into a bigger problem I'll have to face. The same applies to lies in the media—ignoring them doesn't make them disappear; it allows them to fester until they demand attention.
And just like every other time, we’ll ignore them. https://t.co/gz73O26YkP

And it goes beyond just talk and opinions. Some suggest we ignore all the Leftist violence we've seen over the last few weeks. Clearly, ignoring it and pretending it it isn't inspired by Leftist rhetoric isn't making it go away. Clearly, this country needs to talk about, address it and come up with some solutions.
I don’t know, but maybe “the family said” should stop being enough for the press to run with stuff like this? pic.twitter.com/m6zLbTsmK1

This story serves as a prime example. Initial reports claimed ICE used a five-year-old girl as 'bait' to lure her father outside. Leftist influencers amplified this narrative. However, the Trump Administration clarified that the father fled, abandoning his young daughter. This factual rebuttal gave conservatives something to share when countering liberal friends and family who spread the original story. Many may miss the correction, but providing one ensures an effort to spread the truth. We cannot allow leftist narratives to dominate unchallenged—it's far too dangerous.
