Rep. Brandon Gill didn’t just open the GOP’s midterm convention in Dallas — he walked onto the stage, grabbed one of the left’s favorite ritual openers, and flipped it into a full-throated patriotic flex. Instead of the usual apology tour dressed up as a “land acknowledgment,” the Texas Republican used the same setup to honor pioneers, patriots, and the country they built, and the clip has been tearing around X ever since.
In other words, if you were hoping for a somber lecture about stolen dirt, this was not that speech.
This was something very, very different.
