Where was Paul Ryan's tie? CNN debates the significance

Democratic strategist and fashion consultant James Carville took to CNN today to provide his unique insight into Rep. Paul Ryan’s debut as a vice presidential candidate. “His speech was fine,” Carville told Wolf Blitzer, but the lack of a tie was bothersome, with Carville admitting he was “a little shocked at the optics.”

RedState’s Erick Erickson saw Ryan’s sartorial statement as a blow for collar freedom, stripping off his own tie on air.
