FLASHBACK: Check Out How Trump's Biggest Haters Talked About Illegal Immigration Under Obama

The dead legacy media is doing everything it can to undermine President Donald Trump at every turn, but one issue where they are truly trying to gaslight America is illegal immigration and Trump's first-week actions to begin deportations of illegal alien criminals immediately.

Over the weekend, we saw Margaret Brennan give it her best shot by claiming all of the 'refugees' from Afghanistan were vetted. Unfortunately, she made the mistake of saying this to Vice President J.D. Vance, who is not only more informed than she is about the issue, but also a master at making journalists look like the ignorant jackasses they are.

Over at the brain trust on The View, Ana Navarro took the side of socialist Colombian President Petro (because, of course, she did) who tried to reject the criminals that Trump was sending back to him. Sadly for Navarro, Petro folded under Trump's pressure faster than a poker player sitting at a Texas Hold 'Em table with a 7-2 offsuit hand.

Navarro isn't the sharpest marble in the bag, but I bring her up specifically because it was not all that long ago that she and many other Trump haters were singing an entirely different tune.

Let's take a trip in the Wayback Machine to 2014 to hear what then-President Barack Obama's stated policy on illegal immigration.

Lord knows I am no fan of Obama, but this seems like a pretty sensible -- not to mention entirely legal -- policy for the President of the United States to enact. As Obama himself says, it was the policy of every president of both parties for more than 50 years, until the dumpster fire known as Joe Biden stepped into the Oval Office.

It also sounds eerily familiar to what Trump is doing right now.

Obviously, Navarro and her fellow media hacks were equally outraged at Obama for this 'racist,' 'bigoted,' and 'xenophobic' stance on illegal immigration, right?

... Right?

Of course, the answer is absolutely not. They all backed Obama.

Let's skip slightly forward in the Wayback Machine to later that year. On an ABC News panel, Navarro along with Trump haters Bill Kristol and George '$15 Million' Stephanopoulos were all vocally in support of deporting not just criminals, but unaccompanied minors as well. Watch:

Imagine my shock to see Navarro go from 'there is no pot of gold at the end of the rainbow' to 'How will we get flowers in America if we send criminals back to Colombia?' in just a few short years.

The TDS is very real, y'all.

For Kristol's part, when Obama was President, we see him saying here that unaccompanied minors need to be sent back home. Now that Trump is President (again), Kristol's take is that this is all a fear tactic and that Trump can't afford mass deportations, so he might as well not even try.

Oh, Billy. Just say what everyone already knows. You hate Trump because he doesn't want to start any new wars for you and your defense industry pals.

Stephanopoulos, long before he became the loser in a defamation lawsuit from Trump, argues here that Obama can only send ONE message to illegals if he visited the border: 'You have to go back home.'

Gosh, what changed, George? Why do they no longer have to 'go back home'?

Could it be that you don't actually care (or know much) about this issue and all you want to do is hurt Trump?

You don't have to answer that, by the way. The $15 million check ABC just had to cut and send to Trump -- along with your apology -- already answered it for you.

They just oppose Trump and therefore oppose anything Trump does. That's their entire worldview.

If the 'journalists' insist on being such blatant, unprincipled hypocrites, someone really ought to tell them that video is a thing that exists in the 21st century.

Or don't tell them. They're dead anyway, but it's a lot of fun to watch them repeatedly step on the massive rakes of their own words.

One day they might figure that out. Until then, we'll all just keep laughing at them because it is entertaining.

And that would be fine if entertainment was their job.

But I swear I could have read somewhere that their REAL job is supposed to be to inform and educate the public, and hold power to account.

Don't laugh. I know it's funny, but it wasn't supposed to be.

It's impossible for the media to inform and educate the public when they are not informed and educated themselves. And they can't speak truth to power because truth has lost all meaning for them, as evidenced by these clips.

All they care about is a narrative. And hating Trump. And concocting any false outrage that will make other people hate Trump along with them.

They'll never get it. That is why America doesn't believe anything they say anymore and why the legacy media has died on the vine.
