This week brought with it another effort from the Democrats and some of their media allies to frame something President Trump said in a dishonest way.
When it comes to pushing BS, few do it more aggressively than the Newsom Press Office account:
Traitor Congressman Kevin Kiley is REFUSING to condemn Donald Trump’s comments calling for Iran to nuke California. https://t.co/WLCcg3fcqX
— Governor Newsom Press Office (@GovPressOffice) October 6, 2026
"Calling for Iran to nuke California"?
That was too much for even CNN's fact-checker Daniel Dale:
This isn’t a direct quote from Trump, and I very much don’t think it’s a correct paraphrase. Trump has repeatedly argued that the consequences of the war, like higher gas prices, are a small price to pay compared to what an unchecked Iran could allegedly do. Last night, in especially rambling and incomplete fashion, he 1) claimed high prices are temporary and suggested they’re “artificial”; 2) contrasted that to the damage of Iran supposedly taking out a city; 3) and then, in especially confusing style, repeated his old point that “this,” as in the consequences of the war, is a small price to pay to avoid something like a a city being wiped out. It’s Trump’s fault you kinda have to be steeped in TrumpRallySpeak to know what he was saying last night, and of course you can say it’s inappropriate regardless for the president to casually float the possibility of a city being wiped out, but the context exists and is important.

Heck, there are now even a few dozen Democrats who have signed a letter condemning Trump for something he never even said. Rest assured, the truth won't stop that from being among the impeachment charges if the Democrats take back the House.
Even after the CNN fact-checker put down the Dem lies, I was sure there would be hosts and analysts on that little watched cable net who would continue to run with the original BS about what Trump didn't say. Right on cue, some of them lived up to that prediction. Fortunately, there were others there to provide reality checks.
Hours after CNN's own Trump-hostile fact-checker determined Trump didn't call for Iran to wipe L.A. and San Diego out, CNN (sub) hosts are still suggesting he did. @ScottJenningsKY and @jasonrantz promptly shot this bad-faith frame down. https://t.co/rkFU1Q7iWi

The lefty media has yet another fake story to keep pushing and they'll do exactly that.
@BonillaJL @ScottJenningsKY @jasonrantz They will be repeating their lie forever.

We'll be hearing Democrats repeating this lie several weeks from now because they don't care about the truth.
And pardon me if I can't take seriously any "a U.S. leader should be a president for ALL Americans" pearl clutching coming from Democrats who applauded this:
