Yesterday Mindy wrote about New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani fielding a question from a reporter about his wife liking posts cheering Hamas after the October 7th attacks in Israel. Not only that, but Mamdani's wife liked one that featured stills from livestreams of the assault.
NEW, from me @J_Insider—New York City's First Lady, Zohran Mamdani's wife, liked Instagram posts celebrating the Oct. 7 attacks on Israel, including one that featured stills from livestreams of the assault and labeled it "systemic change for collective liberation." pic.twitter.com/23RTUl4oNb

Again, that's the wife of the current mayor of New York City.
This was Mayor Mamdani's answer to a question about it:
🚨Mamdani Responds To His Wife LIKING MULTIPLE Posts Celebrating October 7th, CHEERING On Hamas: I Love Her

“My wife is the love of my life, and she’s also a private person who has held no formal position on my campaign or in my city hall.” pic.twitter.com/nUI3IYLMwQ
OK, now, imagine (as hard as it may be) that was a Republican defending his wife in that manner.
All I know is that the New York Times would have framed it much differently than this:
Mamdani’s wife cheered the murder of 1200 innocent Israelis on October 7th. This is how @nytimes covered it. You will recall that the same paper had multiple front page stories about the different flags Justice Alito’s wife flew outside their homes. pic.twitter.com/G0lFF6Vn3N

"Her Support for Palestinian Cause"? Wow.
It’s also telling that here “Palestinian cause” directly translates to “kill Jews.”

At least the Times is saying out loud what the "Palestinian cause" really is.
The Times is really on a roll. Recently they published an op-ed slamming the attacks on Iran that was written by a guy who lost his security clearance for... leaking to Iran.
Maybe Mamdani's wife will soon get her own op-ed in the paper to promote "the Palestinian cause."
