A new day has brought with it the beginning of a 12th vote for Speaker in the House of Representatives. Some of the Republicans who have not been voting for Rep. Kevin McCarthy are expected to continue their opposition, but it’s already clear that some GOPers who were initially opposed to McCarthy are shifting:

On MSNBC, Capitol Hill reporter Garrett Haake said the Republicans who have refused to vote for McCarthy are basically election deniers because McCarthy previously “won a closed-door election”:

The actual election hasn’t even been settled yet so there aren’t really any results to “deny” yet but the media do like carrying those narratives.
