In other Pennsylvania political news, a state rep who died last month got re-elected yesterday

Last night, Democrat John Fetterman was declared the winner of the Pennsylvania Senate election and soon after he delivered a victory speech:

You’re well aware that people have been questioning Fetterman’s fitness to serve in the Senate, but on that note there is other election news out of Pennsylvania that’s noteworthy and perhaps proves that Fetterman is indeed fit to serve:

Wow, that’s… interesting:

A state lawmaker in Pennsylvania was re-elected on Tuesday despite passing away last month.

Tony DeLuca, a Democrat, died of lymphoma on Oct. 9, too late for election officials to change the ballots. DeLuca was 85.

DeLuca, who served in the state legislature for 39 years, defeated the Green Party’s Queonia “Zarah” Livingston, garnering more than 85% of the vote in his deep-blue Allegheny County district.

The Pennsylvania House Democrats appreciated the voters’ show of confidence:

Things are starting to add up now!

Right?

I know we’re not talking about Chicago here, but I can’t help but wonder if any of the voters were also dead. Hey, you never know!
