Wow, whoever runs the @POTUS account REALLY thinks everybody's stupid

The latest inflation report had the Emergency Economic Gaslighting Team at the White House springing into immediate action earlier today.

Previously this week the Biden White House did a splendid job of explaining why all congressional Republicans were totally right to vote against the ironically-titled “Inflation Reduction Act”:

But that’s not going to stop this administration from pushing more of what caused the problem and presenting it as a solution.

Whoever tweets from the @POTUS account (maybe Ron Klain) isn’t about to stop even though their policies have taken the economy off the rails:

Americans are squeezed by the cost of living: that’s been true for years, and they didn’t need today’s report to tell them that.

It’s a key reason I ran for president. Working to give middle class families some breathing room in dealing with their costs is critical.

Oh please! “That’s been true for years”? Try “the last nearly two years.”

They’re just never going to admit their policies contributed to the economic misery. As a matter of fact, it’s their excuse to double down.

We’re making progress, even if prices remain too high: inflation in the last three months has averaged 2% annualized. That’s down from 11% the quarter before. But we have more work to do.

No, please stop “having more work to do” — I’ve seen what your “work” does to people.

The whole world is experiencing inflation, but because of my economic plan, the U.S. is in a better position than any major economy.

With the Inflation Reduction Act, we’re locking in lower health care premiums, reducing seniors’ drug prices, and capping their RX drug costs.

Can’t help but notice that “reducing inflation” is not on that list of things the “Inflation Reduction Act” has accomplished.

Meanwhile, Congressional Republicans’ number one priority is repealing the Inflation Reduction Act. They’ve said it themselves.

And if they get their way, everyday costs will go up – not down. That’s exactly the wrong thing to do.

The “Inflation Reduction Act” worsened inflation so thanks for explaining why the Republicans were right to oppose it.

It’s cute though that the White House is acting as if Biden’s on top of the issue:

Do you feel better knowing that on that call Biden’s talking to all the people who have been nothing but wrong on the economy from the day Biden took office? Great.
