Rob Schneider tells Glenn Beck the moment he knew SNL was officially 'over' as a comedy show

Saturday Night Live engaged in some serious mask theater during the pandemic, and even those unintentionally comical moments were far funnier than other fits of political activism thinly disguised as comedy sketches. But the show’s real downfall became incredibly obvious just a few short years before that.

Recently Glenn Beck interviewed actor and former SNL performer Rob Schneider who explained when the show was “over,” and that moment was shortly after the 2016 election:

If you missed that cold open the first time in 2016, first of all, congratulations! But this is how SNL’s first show after Trump defeated Clinton in 2016 opened:

Yeah, Schneider’s right — the late-night “comedy” show officially ended right there.

So true.

SNL can still manage to have some funny sketches on occasion, but they are fewer and farther between than they used to be, that’s for sure.

Right? TDS has contributed to the ruination of more than just SNL.
