You might remember last year when Dr. Anthony Fauci responded to some Republican lawmakers who suggested he be prosecuted over the mishandling of the nation’s Covid response by saying that’s a dangerous thing to say because it’s “criticizing science because I represent science.” That was the scientist equivalent of Judge Dredd saying “I didn’t break the law, I am the law!”
In other words, it would be an understatement to say that Dr. Fauci seems to have a rather inflated ego. During a recent interview, Dr. Fauci again offered another example that struck The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway as being worthy of a Bond villain:
