Bitcoin wallet companies respond to Canada deputy PM's order to freeze accounts (these are *chef's kiss*)

This week, Canada’s Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland again proved why her last name is incredibly ironic after announcing that people who donated to the Freedom Convoy would have their accounts frozen under the Emergencies Act:

This is the part that Trudeau and Freeland won’t enjoy. One company responded to a Canadian court’s request to freeze accounts this way:

The Ontario Superior Court of Justice asked self-custody wallet provider @nunchuk_io to disclose user information and freeze user’s bitcoin.

Yesterday, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice sent us a Mareva Injunction, ordering us to freeze and disclose information about the assets involved in the #FreedomConvoy2022 movement.
