The announced retirement of Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy has many liberals and the media (pardon the redundancy) saying it would be hypocritical of the Republican-controlled Senate to have a hearing for a Trump nominee when they didn’t do the same in a presidential election year for Merrick Garland. Among those who should sit this one out are former Sen. Harry Reid or those who worked for him, but it isn’t stopping Reid’s former deputy chief of staff:
The first thing all Dems need to do is get a firm mental grip on the new rules.
McConnell annihilated every norm of the nomination process to deny Garland a hearing or vote and steal the Court for a generation.
