Democrat Rep. Eric Swalwell, who is also running to be the next governor of California, has been claiming that it's absurd that Trump and the FBI are going to great lengths to "smear a political opponent" (which is rich coming after many years of the Dems trying to smear and imprison a political opponent).
Back in 2023, Swalwell urged us to "trust the FBI" when it comes to taking his word about having done nothing wrong with a Chinese spy. Last year he said the American people deserve transparency, but this was about the Epstein files:

When it comes to the Fang Fang files Swalwell doesn't seem to be such a big fan of transparency.
Swalwell was on MS NOW being interviewed by Jen Psaki, a safe setting with zero pushback, and complained that this kind of transparency would be an egregious wrong not seen since J. Edgar Hoover ran the FBI:
