Remember when Rep. Ro Khanna took a trip to Palestine and reported how his entourage was detained by Israeli settlers carrying American-made M4 rifles? "When the IDF arrived, they sided with the settlers and continued our detention," he wrote. "They made a huge mistake."
Khanna's story was picked apart. An Israeli journalist named Haviv Rettig Gur told Khanna, "This wasn't Israeli violence. This was agitprop for your American audiences," adding, "If you'd coordinated your visit with Israeli authorities, this would have been sorted out from the start."
Now, New York Times columnist Nicholas Kristof writes about how Israeli settlers blocked his vehicle in his new column about Israeli settlers "raging out of control on the West Bank," which he's been kind enough to give away to non-subscribers.
Israeli settlers are raging out of control on the West Bank, and Gaza is an ongoing humanitarian catastrophe. Could the Israeli election in October change this? My take: https://t.co/D7kLG2sVbN

Have you ever bothered to check if any of the people you’ve referred to “journalists” have been recognized as a military commander in a Hamas or PIJ martyr announcement, and adjusted your sourcing accordingly, or do you just take every anti-Israel thing you hear at face value?

I don't take anything at face value. That's why I go to the field and report what I see first hand. That's why I traveled across the West Bank for this column to talk to Palestinians brutalized by violent settlers; it's why settlers blocked my vehicle: https://t.co/D7kLG2sVbN https://t.co/bnmWu5EJku

He only reports what he sees firsthand.
You have repeated claims that 30,000 aid trucks--which would stretch approximately 400 miles, end-to-end--were waiting at the Rafah crossing, that dogs can be trained to anally rape human beings on command, and that it's unclear if Hamas used Shifa Hospital as a command center.

So you saw--first hand--the Israeli rape dogs ?
He found zip ties on the ground and used that as irrefutable proof of IDF dog rape. https://t.co/SxlluhSKzW

Taking things at face value and reporting them as fact is literally the thing you are most famous for. Is this parody?

You took the crazy dog rape story at face value. How can anyone who doesn’t hate Israel trust you after that?
— No More Trump (@lefraflefraf) August 13, 2026
Are you serious right now? Let’s review things you take at face value: dog rape, famine, humanitarian crisis, Abbas as a moderate, indiscriminate bombing, starvations as a weapon of war, limb amputations from hand cuffing, and collective punishment.

What are you talking about?
But this all relies on you having trustworthy judgment as you can only see so much. You haven’t seen the majority of what you write about up close so your readers have to trust that you have reliable sources—how can they do that when you will seemingly believe anything?
— Alex Leo (@AlexMLeo) August 13, 2026
So you’ll… go to any length and make every effort to listen to the people who say any old anti-Israel thing and to take it at face value.

You the only person on Earth unfamiliar with the work of Nicholas Kristof.

Dude you need to be raped by a dog and report it live to give us all a feel for how it happens. #dogRapeIsReal

No, seriously, check the medical journals and trust him.
