Just last night, I wrote a post about a woman at Minneapolis City Hall telling the council that Somalis not only built the economy of Minnesota, but its soul as well. As I said, it reminded me of when President Joe Biden said he wasn't going to say anything bad about "undocumented immigrants" — not even the one who murdered Laken Riley — because "they built this country." A lot of people had questions on how the economy balances out, seeing as, according to the Center for Immigration Studies, 81 percent of Somali-led households in Minnesota rely on some form of public assistance.
And now, I wake up this morning to read that FBI and HSI agents were raiding 20+ locations in the Minneapolis area in relation to ongoing federal fraud investigations. Sources told Fox News the locations were largely Somali-linked businesses, including the infamous "Quality Learing Center."
As I said, Somalis have a serious public relations problem, especially considering that their most high-profile member is Rep. Ilhan Omar, whose net worth went from somewhere between $6 million and 30 million to between $18,000 and $95,000 due to an accounting error. And her husband's winery just closed its doors, too.
I cherish our readers in Minnesota, but I don't know how you live there.
I wrote last month that a city in Minnesota had voted to bring back the traditional Minnesota state flag. Back in 2023, Minnesota unveiled its new state flag, which did away with the problematic image depicting a Native American riding off into the sunset while a white settler plowed his field next to a rifle leaning on a nearby stump.
Minnesota's new flag, which is a simple white star on a blue background, looked to a lot of people like Somalia's flag, which shows a simple white star on a blue background. No longer was the state flying a "cluttered and genocidal mess.”
Now I'm reading that Minnesota Democrats are cracking down on cities that refuse to adopt the 2023 flag.
🚨 BREAKING: Minnesota Democrats have proposed a bill that would cut aid to cities that refuse to fly the new state flag pushed by Tim Walz.

Polling shows widespread opposition to the new flag, and several cities have already moved to revert back to the original design. pic.twitter.com/3GQSx0FFrf
I included a photo of the Somali flag to go with this post so you can see the similarity. KARE 11 reported that "a star, and the state's waterways are the centerpieces of the final design chosen for Minnesota's new state flag." Oh, so the blue represents the state's waterways.
Remind me again of what "No Kings" protests mean.

As long as those cities get to stop paying taxes it seems fair.

A flag so nice you need a law to force it.

Always nice to see @TheDemocrats fighting for democracy. If you don't fly their Somali flag then they cut your aid.

What's it matter? Minnesota is so broke, there are no funds to give them.

Still hilarious to me that Minnesota Democrats were so obsessed with racial virtue-signaling that they changed their state flag to a cheap knock-off of the Somali flag. https://t.co/y0FME0h8qa

We've reached "fly the flag, bigot."

As Zumbrota Mayor Todd Hammel noted, the vote to revert to the old state flag was moot since the flag is only displayed in the corner of the council chambers. Democrats will still try to cut aid to the city.
