It was way back in August when our own Warren Squire reported that a commercial truck driver had been arrested for killing three people while making an illegal U-turn on the Florida Turnpike. The driver was an illegal immigrant from India, but he didn't get his commercial driver's license from Florida, but rather from California. The Governor Newsom Press Office account tried to blame President Donald Trump.
It was while I was poking around for more information on that story when I came across this exchange:

It's the CDL schools. There's literally one in California named Punjab Truck Driving School. It's run by Indians. They're helping Indians submit false paperwork to get their CDLs.

I was reminded of that because there was another fatal crash caused by an Indian truck driver who is here illegally and got his CDL from California's DMV. Check out this dashcam video — it's remarkable so few people we killed.

I’m told ICE is placing a detainer request on Singh with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, where he is in custody on suspicion of DUI causing great bodily injury and gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated. He has not been formally charged yet.
Police say Singh was speeding and under the influence, never hitting his breaks, when he crashed into slow moving traffic on the freeway, causing a devastating and deadly chain reaction crash that killed 3 people. The victims have not been identified yet.
I'm not sure if San Bernardino is a sanctuary city and won't honor the ICE detainer.
So, he was caught and released at the California border in 2022, and in 2025, he's driving a big rig thanks to Gavin Newsom's DMV. We thought illegals came here to do the jobs Americans won't do, like pick crops and clean toilets.
Maybe there is something to these Indian driving schools in California. California obviously doesn't care if they're here illegally. I remember several years back writing a post on how California was bragging that it had issued more than a million driver's licenses.

As I reported in August, when the illegal was charged with vehicular manslaughter, more than a million and a half people had signed a Change.org petition requesting a commutation for Harjinder Singh, even though he hadn't even been tried, let alone sentenced. The letter to Gov. Ron DeSantis that accompanied the petition was signed by "Collective Punjabi youth," who ask that DeSantis "consider alternative sentencing options, such as restorative justice measures, counseling, or community service, aligning with both accountability and compassion." And all the names on the petition were Indian. Who knows how many were from India?

Fortunately, after that fatal crash on the Florida Turnpike, the state has turned weigh stations into ICE checkpoints.
Whoever hired him should be bankrupted and sent to prison.
