CNN's Brian Stelter concerned that some conservatives have rejected the term 'disinformation' altogether

“Disinformation” is a thing now. For a moment there, we had a Disinformation Governance Board headed up by an expert in disinformation who called the Hunter Biden story “a fairy tale about a laptop repair shop.” We searched our archives to get an idea of just when “disinformation” became such a concern. There was plenty of it going around when Twitchy launched, but we first noticed the term ahead of a debate between President Donald Trump and Joe Biden, when it was certain that Trump would bring up Hunter’s business dealings. Biden campaign adviser Symone Sanders said ahead of the debate, “If the president decides to amplify these latest smears against the vice president and his only living son, that is Russian disinformation.” (“His only living son” … nice touch.)

CNN’s Brian Stelter, who remarkable still has a show called “Reliable Sources,” is concerned about disinformation from both sides of the political aisle, but it’s conservatives who have rejected the term altogether while spreading B.S.

Maybe that’s why the new owners keep suggesting a return to “journalism first.”
