The Pentagon has issued some new rules aimed at curbing the rise in extremism among the troops — and when they say “extremism,” they mean right-wing extremism, noting that some troops and veterans took part in the January 6 riot at the Capitol. As we reported, Newsweek has sounded the alarm over “millions of angry, armed Americans” ready to seize power if Donald Trump runs in 2024 and loses, and now we have extremists embedded among the troops as well.
BREAKING: Pentagon to issue rules aimed at curbing rise in extremism among troops, officials tell @AP. The new guidelines come nearly a year after some current and former service members took part in the U.S. Capitol riot. https://t.co/0GFk4xqK3s

The banned activities range from advocating terrorism or supporting the overthrow of the government to “liking” or reposting extremist views on social media. Previous policies banned extremist activities but didn’t go into great detail. https://t.co/jGCDWDE3jq

Be careful what you “like” on Facebook or Twitter, we suppose — or CNN will track you down and interrogate you in your driveway.
This isn’t a thing.
What this is really about is that Biden and the Democrats are demanding there be no dissent in the military – just like they’ve done on college campuses. https://t.co/HAwsfYx9J9

Oh this should be good.

The Associated Press notes:
Senior defense officials tell The Associated Press that fewer than 100 military members are known to have been involved in substantiated cases of extremist activity in the past year, but they warn that the number may grow given recent spikes in domestic violent extremism, particularly among veterans.

That number may grow … from 100 to 102 or 103 if something isn’t done. We were curious and checked the AP story for evidence of these “recent spikes in domestic violent extremism” but the most we could find were a half-dozen active military who’d been arrested in connection with January 6, and we don’t know if they’re charged with anything harsher than “parading.”
What kind of extremism? Genuine question.

I would be curious as to what “extremism” represents..

Being conservative will be deemed extremism

If you're a conservative this means they're going to try to reprogram you.

Is there really a rise in extremism or is this just more "woke" bullsh!t?

More political purges coming.

Good. It's about time they did something about those progressives in the ranks.

In February, the Department of Defense directed commanding officers and supervisors at all levels to conduct a one-day “stand-down” for training on extremism. Moonshot, the contractor charged with investigating extremism in the military flagged Google searches for “the truth about Black Lives Matter” as evidence of white supremacy.
Losing wars to own the right wingers

Never had this issue while I was in. All of a sudden there’s “extremism.” Maybe it’s because they’ve heavily politicized the military and brought in all sorts of racial, sexual, and gender nonsense.

Cool cool. So when are they going to do something about generals who promise to secretly give our enemies warnings of impending attacks?

Meanwhile…no mention of winning wars
