Brian Stelter alerts us to 'lots of standout Psaki quotes'; She says Biden spontaneously answering questions 'is not something we recommend'

As Twitchy reported, The Washingtonian did a story on White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki and included a lot of journalists, some of whom agreed to be named and others who wanted to keep their gushing anonymous. “She’s like any other competent, professional, pleasant, lovely press person from any other era,” said one. The story also honed in on reporters’ “awkward feeling of rooting,” even though we’ve been assured by CNN’s Chris Cillizza that reporters don’t root for a side. Period.

CNN posted its own piece about Psaki, drawing on interviews for David Axelrod’s podcast and a virtual symposium held by the Georgetown Institute of Politics and Public Service. CNN’s Brian Stelter alerted his followers to “lots of standout Psaki quotes.”

We like the quote where she tells Axelrod that letting President Biden answer questions off the cuff “is not something we recommend. In fact, a lot of times we say ‘Don’t take questions,’ you know, but he’s going to do what he wants to do because he’s the president.”

— Another candid comment: “We’re often asked, ‘Why doesn’t he go to the border?’ Important issue. We’re focused on it. What percentage of the public is focused on the border? A much smaller percentage than who’s focused on the pandemic and the economy. So that may be maddening, but, you know, that’s what we try to do.”

Yeah, so why doesn’t he go to the border? Why doesn’t Vice President Harris go to the border? Why are press not allowed at the border?
