We tried to catch all we could of CNN’s town hall on LGBTQ issues Thursday night (which coincided with President Trump’s massive rally in Minneapolis), but it was such a clown show we missed a lot. Julio Rosas caught this clip of CNN host Nia Mikayla Henderson being reminded that it’s “violence” to misgender or alter a trans person’s name after she pronounced Shea as “Shay” and not “She-uh.”

Can you believe candidate Julián Castro just smiled and let Henderson get away with perpetrating violence like that? Would an “Are you OK?” have been too compassionate?
Omg what a train wreck this townhall is.

It’s insane that they would even dignify such an absurd statement by not challenging it. They’re too afraid.

The entire attraction of the woke movement is built on how delicious it feels to correct someone.

My name is Bob and sometimes people pronounce my name backwards (boB) and that is like a kidney punch. That toasts my muffins and I don't like my muffins toasted.

Ah this was an act of violence. This is great, we're learning so much about the new laws and cultural norms we'll soon be living under.

Ppl really need to get out of this victim mentality that way too many have these days. Oh your name was mispronounced, whoopty do. Was probably an honest mistake and this person just wanted their 15 mins of fame.

For the record, it’s not violence, to mispronounce someone’s name. It’s an honest mistake. And pretending otherwise is ridiculous, dangerous pandering. https://t.co/kIwH7DhZV9

And not a single candidate would dare risk a vote and say, “Let’s not go overboard. I wouldn’t consider that violence.”
