This story from CNN is about a week old, but we thought we’d revive it in honor of Beto O’Rourke officially kicking off his presidential campaign today in El Paso, Texas, and to give fair warning in case O’Rourke comes to your town to campaign.
As Twitchy has reported, O’Rourke’s fossil-fuel guzzling road trip across America make stops at coffee shops and fast-food joints across the nation, where O’Rourke showed off his nasty habit of walking all over the counter as if it were a stage and not a surface where food is prepared, served, and eaten.
"Approachable Zaddy-in-Chief, Beto O'Rourke tore through Iowa, Michigan, and Wisconsin this week and promptly proceeded to terrorize shop owners and health inspectors by standing on every available counter he could find." @oureric writes: https://t.co/pQA2IfsZCD

Before you let that be a deal breaker in 2020, though, consider that CNN has confirmed that O’Rourke asks permission before walking all over your food.
Yes, Beto O'Rourke asks before he stands on counters https://t.co/6khXKitCMi pic.twitter.com/NqkpxvvoG7

Yeah, that’s been on our minds a lot. There was even a Twitter account created called @BetoOnCounters. Eric Bradner reports:
Beto O’Rourke’s habit of standing on things — especially counters — has become a point of public fascination, spawning memes and Twitter accounts in the early days of his campaign.
But don’t worry.
He asks first.
…
At the Beancounter — like the other stops where O’Rourke has climbed on up — he got permission first. Either O’Rourke or his road manager, Cynthia Cano, has asked those working in the shops — or he’s been told ahead of time he is welcome to stand on the counter.
And this guy’s running for *squints* president? Good to know that he makes sure his countertop visits are cleared.
Beginning to see a lot of attention being paid to what he's doing and not much time spent on what he's saying…

You noticed that too?
Permission or not, it's still indicative of the rich thinking it's okay to step on the places where the average person eats.

His wife didn’t actually eat the baby poop … he just served it to her saying it was avocado. At least that’s the story.
In case you were craving more from CNN:
2020 candidate Beto O'Rourke takes a stand … on tables and vans? You'd think counter-climbing was an Olympic event, judging by the cheers. CNN's Jeanne Moos reports on Beto's literal stance at his campaign events. https://t.co/dnNvQBVG0P pic.twitter.com/XAFRYDfHmv
