Is there any criminal behavior that Fairfax County School District can't cover up? Back in March, the news broke that Israel Flores-Ortiz, an adult illegal immigrant from El Salvador who was attending high school as a junior, had been arrested after groping a dozen minors. Fairfax Sheriff Stacey Kincaid refused to turn over Flores-Ortiz to ICE, with Fairfax prosecutors working to secure his release.
The City of Fairfax School Board released a vague statement after furious parents blasted the school for how it handled the incidents. As one person posted, it was missing 1) an apology and 2) any promised action on their part.
Nick Minnock, who was covering the story for WJLA, announced Wednesday that Ortiz had finally been deported.
