President Trump visits troops during Alaska stop, but NBC News politics editor has a nit to pick

Air Force One made a refueling stop in Alaska Thursday on the way home from President Trump’s two-day summit in Vietnam with North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un, and Trump used his time on the ground to briefly address the troops stationed there.

Trump briefly talked shop but didn’t mention his failure to reach an agreement with North Korea over its nuclear arms program.

It sounds like Trump was just being Trump, and the troops were glad to see him. However, Dafna Linzer, managing editor of politics for NBC News and MSNBC, had a nit to pick with the president regarding his two-day stay in Vietnam: he didn’t mention the Vietnam War.

And?

CNN’s Jim Acosta might have asked, but he was too busy pouting that he didn’t get called on.
