This is strange in so many ways, but first, let us acknowledge that Ashley Rae Goldenberg was covering Saturday night’s anti-climate change queer dance party for MRCTV; it seems a lot of people didn’t catch that, and she took a lot of abuse on Twitter for being part of the mob harassing Ivanka Trump.

That’s the other strange part. Ivanka Trump is a strong ally for the LGBTQ community in the Trump administration, so why harass her and her neighbors by holding a queer dance party in the street outside her house? For climate justice, duh.
But in December, after being summoned to Trump Tower, climate change guru Al Gore told MSNBC’s Christopher Matthews, “Ivanka Trump is very committed to having a climate policy that makes sense for our country and for our world, and that was certainly evident in the conversation that I had with her.”
Maybe someone just thought it was time for another queer dance party protest and any excuse would do, since it wasn’t going to change a thing anyway.
