Rep. Ted Lieu tried to turn a campaign stop into a punchline.
The California Democrat pointed to President Trump’s Saturday rally in an Ohio high school gym and treated the venue itself as proof the president is not that popular.

The internet did not need long to check the room. The gym holds about 4,500 people. It filled up, and lines ran out of the building and onto the football field. Lieu’s jab landed.
The follow-up math landed harder especially once others started pulling out pictures of his own speeches where nobody really showed up at all.
