'Amerikkka': Fundraising page for Baltimore police deemed 'sickening,' 'a new, disgusting low'

As Twitchy has reported, popular fundraising site GoFundMe has modified its terms of service and disallowed some high-profile causes recently. A fundraiser for Christian bakery Sweetcakes by Melissa, which faces $135,000 in damages for refusing to bake a wedding cake for a lesbian couple, had its page pulled on the grounds that “claims of heinous crimes, violent, hateful, sexual or discriminatory acts” are banned by the site.

Similarly, the man who set up a GoFundMe page for Christian-owned Memories Pizza received a number of veiled threats through the site, some even directed toward his mother. (Screenshots of the threats are compiled here on Twitchy.)

Based on the site’s ban on “claims of heinous crimes,” a GoFundMe page for the six Baltimore police officers charged in connection with the death of Freddie Gray was pulled after just 40 minutes online. In its place, supporters have created a “Blue Lives Matter” page at baltimore6.com with a PayPal link to FOP Lodge No. 3, as well as a Facebook community called “Support the Baltimore Six.”

As you can imagine judging by the reaction to the #BlueLivesMatter hashtag alone (“F*** every single bit of this #BlueLivesMatter hashtag.”), the appearance of baltimore6.com and the Facebook page inspired more than a little anger.

Some find the last line on the page, “It’s our turn now,” particularly ominous.
