As Twitchy reported yesterday, Christina Hoff Sommers, author of “Who Stole Feminism?” and a resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, was scheduled to appear at Georgetown University Thursday night as a guest of the College Republicans, inspiring at least one student to ask if her appearance would be accompanied by a “trigger warning” because of her “potential to re-traumatize survivors” by her presence on campus.
Sommers’ appearance went on as planned, and as suggested, students offered designated “safe spaces.”
Posted outside my lecture at Georgetown last night. I suggested feminist jazz hands instead of triggering clapping. pic.twitter.com/PdsuOtwozU

@CHSommers what are they going to do when they get out of college? Stay at home so their precious ideals can't be challenged?

.@CHSommers If a middle-aged woman speaking about things you disagree with "triggers" you, you need therapy, not college.

@CHSommers I don't understand what this would 'trigger'. Anxiety caused by disagreeing? Facts hurt people?

@CHSommers @AsheSchow can't someone put these progressive spineless wimps out of their misery? They can't handle life and reality
