There’s no question that a certain portion of the population is hard-wired to despise former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and anything she does or says. Even conservative supporters were thrown a bit by Palin’s speech at the Iowa Freedom Summit in January, though. Scott Conroy of Real Clear Politics called it “the strangest speech I’ve ever seen Sarah Palin deliver,” and DNC communications director Mo Elleithee issued a two-word statement that read simply, “Thank you.”
Night and day. Palin speech at CPAC is clear, organized comment on US military. Way different from rambling effort in IA few weeks back.

Palin’s brief speech at CPAC on Thursday was anything but rambling, focusing on military service and veterans’ issues.
Palin is getting good marks all around from media to conservatives who have become skeptical of her seriousness as of late.

This is by far the most substantive speech by Palin in years.

Palin is paying tribute to veterans, raising concerns about mental health issues. A far better use of her platform.

Palin on VA: "Just because one guy at the top resigned doesn't mean that the problems resigned"

The Palin speech is fascinating–and I'm not kidding. #CPAC2015

Palin is actually giving the one original speech at CPAC. fully focused on veteran’s issues and with actual policy suggestions

Palin wisely augmented her speech with some well-done Twitter graphics.

Future Secretary of Veterans Affairs, maybe?
Update:
Here is the first half of Palin’s speech, in which she introduces her three-step plan to reform the Department of Veterans Affairs.
