Rolling Stone already published their ridiculous take on the #TwitterFiles, saying they talked to one unnamed former Twitter employee who called the document drop a snoozefest. Maybe they should have given the piece to Tim Dickinson, who really has some food for thought. If Elon Musk is willing to “weaponize” privileged and confidential documents for political purposes, imagine what he might do with your direct messages.

He owns Twitter. How are these emails “privileged and confidential”? And why is a supposed journalist rooting against transparency?
Hello, I call myself a "journalist" and yet I'm extremely angry when transparency is brought to the world's most powerful corporations. I also think it's infuriating when journalists mention the names of the richest and most powerful corporate tech executives. I'm a journalist. https://t.co/Ygh3IwQ0Dt

Why would these documents be considered ‘privileged & confidential’ against the new owner of a private company who Dems sent the demand to coverup up to? If it was no biggie to ask to cover up the laptop, you wouldn’t need privilege

It's his company, champ. He can determine what is privileged and confidential.

Shhhh.
Grown-ups are talking.

"weaponize"
— stevemur (@stevemur) December 3, 2022
The great thing about owning a company. They weren't "confidential" nor "privileged"
He decides which ones are or are not.

The owner of a company can release internal company docs.

Imagine being such a democratic propagandist that this is your take on the #twitterfiles as a ‘journalist’
— 🇺🇸America First Stacy🇺🇸 (@Discoveringme40) December 3, 2022
Sort of ignoring the bigger picture here wouldn’t you say?
— Bruce S. (@BruceTweets007) December 3, 2022
Yeah, that's what you should be focused on…👍
— Paul W Allen (@TheRantSupply) December 3, 2022
Haha he’s exposing the weaponization.
Jesus Christ the partisanship.

They are his documents.
It says a lot about what you stand for that you’re defending the criminals here.

I'm not rigging an election.
— The Incredible PaulK (@PaKruta) December 3, 2022
This is utterly non-sensical.

I’m embarrassed for you. And I’m embarrassed for journalism altogether.
For the sake of the nation, please find another career.

He said he bought a crime scene. He’s doing to smartest thing to clear himself and regain public trust.
— Acaydia (@Acaydia_) December 3, 2022
So now evidence of a crime is referred to as "privileged and confidential" information.
— ompp (@ompastor) December 3, 2022
Exposing corruption is now “weaponizing”?

If only you could comment on the content of what was posted instead of pretending to care about integrity of work email accounts. I’ve been around long enough to know anything you do on company equipment can be used by the company however it sees fit.

What DMs have been leaked? You’re having an imaginary conversation.

Rolling Stone writers once again in favor of “the man”.
You guys keep raging for the machine and against shining a light on big tech/politicians/federal law enforcement apparatus censorship.
You’re doing great!
— Gonzo the Great (@GonzDaGreat) December 3, 2022
As someone said above, Musk purchased a crime scene. And “journalists” are suddenly against transparency and consider it “weaponization.”
Also, Mastadon emails in Twitter names is the new pronouns in bios.
