Washington, D.C. is a sanctuary city, but Mayor Muriel Bowser was overwhelmed by a whopping 4,000 migrants bussed to the city from Texas and Arizona. She asked the National Guard to help, but it declined. She deemed it a humanitarian crisis. New York City Mayor Eric Adams said the busloads of migrants were straining the city’s social safety nets. Neither of these mayors seems to have any awareness of what it’s like for small border towns in Texas and Arizona that have been dealing with exponentially larger numbers of migrants. Axios reports that New York and D.C. officials aren’t prepared to handle the “massive influx.”
New York and D.C. officials say they are not prepared to handle the massive influx of migrants, in large part due to communication issues with Texas, according to multiple reports. https://t.co/aPRjfjMnpq

Unbelievably cruel

How is it “unbelievably cruel” to transport a migrant from a red state to a welcoming, inclusive sanctuary city? Aren’t they blessed to have been given free transportation to progressive cities?
Time to start paying the price for those luxury beliefs.

Wow imagine how small towns in Texas and Arizona feel

Just think how Eagle Pass Texas must feel.

Kinda sucks doesn't it? Imagine being a small border town and handling this invasion for the last 18 months EVERY DAY.

Now try to imagine what small towns and cities on the border had to deal with… It absolutley blows my mind that the same leaders of these cities who've been advocating open borders have the GALL to complain about sharing in the burden.

That was one of the problems in Texas. Migrants never did warn of their arrival.

Why aren’t they prepared? They’re self-proclaimed sanctuary cities and illegal immigration is at record highs. Illegal immigrants were bound to come to their cities no matter what, despite the busses from Texas and Arizona. It simply quickened the pace. 🤷🏼♂️

Yeah, because Texas has SO much advance communication before migrants hit THEIR state. Admit it. NY and DC have the not-in-our-backyard mindset when you force them to live up to their "welcoming city" claims.

I can't believe sanctuary cities aren't prepared. This has to be fake news.

Imagine how these tiny ass border towns feel then. You claim to be sanctuary cities, well time to sack up.

This ignores the fact that the Biden administration has been putting them on buses in Texas, driving them to the airport, and putting them on planes to be flown all over the country.
