Biden economic advisor says Americans need to 'take a step back' because they're actually 'doing very, very well'

President Joe Biden really does seem stuck between two messages; in his speeches, he empathizes with Americans over inflation and high gas prices, but his tweets continually promote how astoundingly well the economy is doing. On Monday, former Treasury Secretary Larry Summers told CNN that “it’s more likely than not we’ll have a recession within the next two years.” Inflation is at its highest point since 1981 and gas now averages over $5 a gallon across the United States.

Biden economic adviser Bharat Ramamurti says that while Biden is “sympathetic,” Americans “need to take a step back” and look at just how very, very well they’re going.

That’s a relief, because we mistakenly believed the economy sucked.

Biden seemed awfully angry this morning at the mess he’d put us in.

As some have pointed out, Biden can’t fail … he can only be failed.
