Fox News LA’s Bill Melugin has become an essential follow on Twitter for his coverage of the border. He’s the one who kept questioning the progress of that so-called investigation into the two mounted Border Patrol agents who were caught “whipping” Haitian migrants. He’s the one who reported on the drowning death of a Texas Army National Guard soldier in the Rio Grande while trying to save migrants. And he’s also about the one reporter who covers the number of immigrants coming across the border each month. So of course Media Matters is smearing him as a “far-right propagandist.”

We’re not seeing the “far-right” bias in Melugin’s tweet. That the Border Patrol encountered the highest number of migrants in DHS history last month is a fact. Does Media Matters have a problem with the facts? Never mind.
