Human trafficking sting in Polk County nabs four Disney employees

We just had to do a post about this. It was a pressure campaign from Disney employees in Florida that led CEO Bob Chapek to bend the knee and tell Gov. Ron DeSantis just how “disappointed” and “concerned” the company was over the Parental Rights in Education Bill. Chapek then sent out a mass email apologizing to employees for the delay in opposing the bill and addressing the pain, frustration, and sadness the delay had caused them. CNN’s Brian Stelter wondered on “Reliable Sources” how a CEO could be so out-of-touch with his employees. After all, this is a company that’s all about children.

Speaking of children, four Disney employees were caught up in a human trafficking sting in Polk County.

Huh.

WFLA reports:

Over 100 people were arrested by the Polk County Sheriff’s Office during “Operation March Sadness 2,” a six-day undercover investigation that focused on human trafficking, prostitution, and child predators.

According to the sheriff’s office, four Disney employees were among the 108 arrests, including a Kissimmee man who worked as a lifeguard at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.

“This is huge,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said. “Four arrests of this magnitude is simply remarkable.”

“Operation March Sadness.”

That’s the Parental Rights in Education bill, by the way.
