Here's something I tucked away earlier this week. Shelly Headen is running for a House seat in North Carolina, and the North Carolina House Republicans pulled up a post of hers from a year ago, when she was young and stupid. It hit especially hard when the Republicans posted it the day before the 25th anniversary of 9/11. Headen had posted on social media, "I think our only hope is an attack on US soil … preferably Alabama, Louisiana … where the stupid people live."
Democrat Shelly Headen who is “Running to Restore Human Decency” just posted that she wants an attack on US soil.

It is unclear whether Shelly would prefer ISIS or China to attack the United States, but it’s clear she wants an attack.
Shelly is this restoring human decency?… pic.twitter.com/ThiyNpSJsc
Unbelievably disgusting and totally disqualifying AT a MINIMUM.

What is happening to our beautiful state?!!
To be fair, she didn’t “just” post this. She posted it a year ago, so she’s felt this way for a while… NC dems have been supporting this behavior.

I was scrolling through X on Saturday and came across Headen again. According to Breitbart, Headen toured Dachau, took a photo of the ovens, smiling, and posted, "This is where Trump supporters belong."
This is Shelly Headen, Democrat running for NC House District 62.

She toured Dachau, a Nazi death camp, smiled in front of the ovens, and posted:
“This is where Trump supporters belong.”
41,500 people were murdered there. Jews. Priests. POWs. Political prisoners.

The post continues:
… running to “restore human decency” used that ground to fantasize about putting half the country in a crematorium.
Same woman who wrote America’s “only hope” was an attack on U.S. soil”, preferably Alabama, Louisiana… where the stupid people live.”
This is the mask off.
Breitbart reports:
North Carolina Democrat state legislative candidate Shelly Headen posted a Facebook story from a vacation showing her in front of ovens in a German concentration camp memorial, saying, “Visiting Dauchau [sic] Concentration Camp in Germany… This is where Trump supporters belong.”
Headen was reportedly visiting Dachau, where the memorial states that 41,500 people were murdered.
In social media photos, Headen is seen smiling as she stands in front of what appears to be crematorium ovens, which were used by the Nazi SS to burn the bodies of Jews and other prisoners who died or were murdered at the camp.
That was apparently too much baggage for the North Carolina Democrats to handle, as WRAL reports that the Democrat Party is withdrawing financial, operational, and organizational support.
Posts on Facebook, LinkedIn and X accounts bearing her name and photograph promote an attack on U.S. soil, compare President Donald Trump to Adolf Hitler and wish ill toward those who support Trump’s “make America great again” slogan.
“I think our only hope is an attack on US soil ... preferably Alabama, Louisiana ... where the stupid people live,” one Facebook post says.
“Ready for the MAGAs to die off!!” a message on X, formerly Twitter, says.
A LinkedIn message compared Trump and his supporters to Nazis, saying Trump was “getting close to surpassing Hilter [sic]” and that the “MAGA cult may be more destructive and evil than the Nazis.”
The posts were online as recently as Friday, but WRAL wasn’t able to independently confirm that Headen authored the posts. Headen hasn’t responded to multiple requests for comment, but she has acknowledged having made anti-MAGA and anti-Trump posts in the past. She told The Assembly that she couldn’t remember the exact language of those posts and that she didn’t remember writing the comment about the people of Alabama and Louisiana.
Disgusting.

Do the Dems have any candidates who aren’t disgusting?
Wow. Just wow.
— Larry LaBate (@xmethuselahx) September 11, 2026
In her interview with The Assembly, Headen stood by her anti-Trump and anti-Maga views but downplayed previous social media posts on those topics and vowed to continue competing for the seat.
“I’ve sacrificed myself just like Jesus sacrificed himself on the cross, and Martin Luther King and Abraham Lincoln and all the people that put themselves out there to sacrifice for our country,” she told the online news magazine. “If a few angry moments on social media are the end, then so be it. MAGA will keep winning if we continue with not standing up for what’s right.”
So she compares herself to Jesus and is running to "restore human decency." She's still running, she just doesn't have the backing of the party anymore. She doesn't seem to think she said anything wrong.
It's astounding, the people the Democrats are putting forward for the midterms.
