Washington Post gives the OK to Melania Trump's decorations, but her coat 'looks ridiculous'

Last year, after the White House revealed a hallway decorated with red Christmas trees, we counted the stories slamming the decorations. Slate called them Melania Trump’s “red Christmas trees of death,” but that was nothing. We counted at least four stories from the Washington Post alone slagging on the decorations, calling them “spooky” and “Melania’s nightmare forest” and writing that they induced “flashbacks to phantasmal nightmares.”

Oh, also? In Europe, red Christmas trees are a bad sign. Good thing the White House isn’t in Europe, huh?

Now, a year later, the Washington Post has changed its tune: the Christmas decorations are lovely, but the first lady’s coat? It looks ridiculous.

Don’t you miss the days when there were entire stories about how awesome Michelle Obama’s arms were?
