As Twitchy reported Monday, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s legal team, while supposedly readying Ford for her sworn testimony on Thursday, was still trying to negotiate the conditions of Ford’s appearance, objecting to the idea that the Senate Judiciary Committee had hired an experienced sex crimes prosecutor to do some questioning.
Ford’s team is getting some backup from sources like the New York Times who are calling the idea sexist, as well as from Neera Tanden, president of the Center for American Progress, who calls the Republican senators cowards.
Dr. Ford should testify and refuse to answer questions by anyone who is not a senator. Senators who hide behind a female attorney are cowards.

But wasn’t the old complaint that all GOP members of the Senate Judiciary Committee were old white men? And that they couldn’t possibly be expected to sensitively question an alleged sexual assault survivor?
Well, forget about all that. Now those same senators are cowards for bringing in a female attorney specializing in sex crimes.
Last week: OMG SHE MUST BE ALLOWED TO TESTIFY
Five days ago: OMG HOW DARE THEY BULLY HER TO TESTIFY
Three days ago: OMG THESE OLD MEN ARE GOING TO BULLY HER!
Today: OMG HOW DARE THEY TRY TO LET A WOMAN TALK TO HER!
You guys… know we can *see you* right?

You're so pissed that you can't complain about male Senators asking a female victim questions.
— Ghost Straw (@idrawrobots) September 25, 2018
Considering you outed a sexual assault survivor to entire room full of your employees, perhaps Dr. Ford would be better off not taking your advice. https://t.co/iaqKvQvfB8

And tough questions by male senators will be considered sexist victim shaming https://t.co/ncQL5YWZnv

Believe Dr. Ford because she's a woman. But screw that woman who wants to ask her questions. https://t.co/RuoPdvHUM9

Neera really stands up for those women who worked hard and became successful, expert attorneys.
Lest you think CAP is not a scam and Neera is anything close to a decent human being.https://t.co/Mk9eEnzQAh https://t.co/p9yKKhX3li

Out: Old white guys questioning a woman who alleges sexual assault could be triggering for woman.
In: If Old white guys don't question a woman who alleges sexual assault, they're cowards.

Oh I get it, Democrats have already written the talking points about men questioning her and that is much more important than the truth.

In case it wasn't obvious already, the goal is to put on a show, not to determine the truth https://t.co/rr8NQ77vcO

Senate Judiciary should hold this hearing (which it didn't have to hold), and question as it sees fit (which is its right), and if Ford chooses not to answer, it should consider that a refusal to testify. Accusers who hide behind process arguments are harder to take seriously. https://t.co/WvNCi1AOhp

They've used outside counsel with specific expertise to question witnesses in past. Who better than a former sex crimes prosecutor to question someone claiming sexual assault. They are the ones that walk/ed victims through the process. Upset a screeching point disappeared?
