Garland's Shameful Gaslighting

AP Photo/Stephanie Scarbrough

I think back to the story of Mark Houck, the pro-life activist who had his home raided by armed FBI agents in September, 2022. His supposed 'crime' was a violation of the Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACES) Act. The raid stemmed from an earlier incident outside an abortion clinic, where an abortion escort harassed Houck and his son. Houck pushed the man and was never charged in state court.

The Feds, however, were not so kind.

Houck faced 11 years in prison and $350,000 in fines. Thankfully, a jury acquitted him in 2023.

Houck is not alone, however. As I wrote at the time, multiple pro-life activists were targeted by the Biden DOJ:

11 pro-life activists faced charges, as we told you in October 2022. In September 2023, two pro-life activists -- Jean Marshall, then 73, and Joan Bell, then 74 -- were convicted under the FACES Act. Like Houck, they faced 11 years in prison.

In June of this year, 76-year-old Paula Harlow was convicted of praying in the doorway of an abortion clinic. She was sentenced to two years in prison and mocked by the judge who threw her behind bars. See, Harlow has health problems that mean her two year sentence is likely a life sentence. Harlow's husband asked to go to prison with her due to health concerns. In denying that request, the judge mockingly told the Harlows to simply 'pray' about it.

Merrick Garland made it clear in 2021 that the DOJ would not 'tolerate violence' against those seeking 'reproductive health services', and they kept that promise throughout Biden's term.

So it takes tremendous chutzpah for Merrick Garland to post this:

This is gaslighting of epic proportions.

Not only did Garland's DOJ imprison pro-life activists, they are going after Texas Children's Hospital whistleblower Eithan Haim, and I have chronicled how the DOJ hid evidence that would have exonerated Haim months ago, as well as how the DOJ has gagged Eithan, but thankfully not his wife, who exposed how corrupt the DOJ really is.  He also said in 2021 that white supremacy was the greatest domestic security threat. It is not.

Last May, I told you how the DOJ -- after lying repeatedly -- released emails proving they tracked Moms for Liberty as a 'hate group' and in December 2023 I reported how the DOJ, after a FOIA request, admitted Garland directed hundreds of officials to 'look into' parents across the country.

Why? Those parents had the temerity to question why public schools were putting sexually inappropriate material in libraries and curriculums.

In October 2023, Garland went on '60 Minutes' and insisted his DOJ didn't have a set of rules for Republicans and rules for Democrats.

So it's clear that not only did Garland's DOJ have one set of rules for Republicans and nother for Democrats, he has the audacity to lie about it. It's very clear: abortion, BLM, and the other things Leftist like were protected as sacrosanct civil rights under Garland. Anything that is and was not sufficiently Left-wing was subject to the full weight of the federal government.

It was weaponized, and Merrick Garland oversaw that weaponization. Thank goodness this man was not appointed to the Supreme Court.

In four days, he is gone. For good.

May justice be restored.
