Sadly, 2025 began with tragedy. In New Orleans, at least 15 are dead and dozens more are injured following a terror attack by Shamsud Din Jabbar. It is suspected Jabbar possibly had ties to ISIS, as the terror group's flag was found in the truck used in the attack. IEDs have been found in the French Quarter.
In Las Vegas a Tesla cybertruck exploded outside the Trump Tower Hotel and that too is being investigated as an act of terrorism, too.
The FBI is currently conducting an investigation in Houston in relation to New Orleans

They’re currently investigating a scene related to the attack in New Orleans, but are providing no further… pic.twitter.com/LnFveNHwnI
As of right now, the President -- yeah, we still have one -- issued a statement on New Orleans:
I have been continually briefed since early this morning regarding the horrific incident that occurred in New Orleans overnight.
— President Biden (@POTUS) January 1, 2025
The FBI is taking the lead in the investigation and is investigating this incident as an act of terrorism. I will continue to receive updates…
And that's it.
There’s a massive counter-terror operation happening on the Gulf Coast right now and the United States doesn’t have a functioning POTUS or VPOTUS.

This is why Joe Biden's cognitive decline -- and the media cover up of it -- is the biggest scandal in American history.
We do not have a President, and the world, along with every bad actor in it, knows this.
Not only do we not have a President, we have a country that has been run by incompetent partisans who do not take their Constitutional obligations seriously.
The priority of the federal government is, first and foremost, to protect its citizens from threats foreign and domestic. While the Biden administration has spent the last four years targeting traditional Catholics and parents at school board meetings domestic terrorists, and hysterically sounded the alarm that white supremacy is the biggest threat to our freedoms.
Funny, that.
Because now we've had two high profile terror attacks committed not by white supremacists, but by radicalized Muslims (remember Fort Hood?) and no one in the government will have to answer for this.
Joe Biden is apparently at Camp David now, taking a vacation from his vacation in the Virgin Islands. Microphones and cameras apparently don't exist in that part of Maryland. For that matter, Kamala Harris -- the sitting VP and the woman the Left said was supremely qualified to replace Biden -- is awfully quiet.
I suppose I shouldn't be surprised. This is the same administration that just cut deals with the 9/11 masterminds, sparing them the death penalty. Terrorism -- at least certain types of terrorism -- doesn't seem to bother them all that much.
Joe Biden should have stepped down not just from the presidential campaign, but from the White House, months ago. The unwillingness of Biden (be it Joe or Jill) to do so, and the negligence of Kamala Harris to remove a man clearly unfit for office is now bearing the ugly fruits of their stubbornness, incompetence, and apathy.
With 19 days until the inauguration of Donald Trump, I fear those who seek to harm us may do their best to make it happen on Biden's watch.
I am old enough to remember when the Left criticized George W. Bush for not returning to D.C. immediately in the wake of 9/11, and for 'taking too long' to leave the classroom he was visiting when news of those terror attacks broke.
Oh, to return to those days.
For all his many faults, we had a leader we could turn to, someone who made sure the American people knew he was paying attention and working to address the issue. He told those who attacked us they'd awoken a sleeping giant. At one of the worst possible moments in American history, I at least felt like he cared.
What do we get from Biden?
A shrug and a post on X.
