Hey, all you right-wing, anti-science knuckle draggers out there thought it was funny to make jokes about climate change.

But who’s laughing now?

See what your skepticism hath wrought? Now we’re all screwed. We may as well just accept our fate:

What else is there to say? “This is CNN.”

  • Netmilsmom

Being in MI where it is 4 degrees with a -25 windchill, I have to say, it sucks.
    Maybe that’s what they meant.

    • Clete Torres

      I see your -4 and -25, and lower you a -12 and -35.

      Lower, because you can’t raise…

      • Doc Farmer ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

Well, if Accuweather can be believed it’s -14 and -51 respectively here in Fort Wayne.

        • Clete Torres

I believe it. At least it was sunny today. Still didn’t keep maniples from tearing through my shirt as I stepped out to get the mail, though.

          • Doc Farmer ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

Asked my one sister to send me a couple of her spare bras, now that I’m almost down to her cup size…

      • CatHerder ✓fire! ✓fire!

I can’t go lower than that, I have to answer to the stockholders.

    • http://commentspammersmustdie.blogspot.com/ Kakarot

WeatherUnderground has us at -6°F right now, with a prediction of -9, wind chill I really don’t want to know. WU predicted a low of -14 last night, but I haven’t found anyplace that says whether we made it or not.

Come on, AlGore. Get those private jets going to all those high level conferences. We need some Global Warming, and soon.

      • Worship Dancer

oh no need for THAT. all he has to do is start giving speeches. he HAS been rather quiet lately.

Remember folks, whatever the weather does at any given time is proof of man-caused climate change. If it’s uncommonly cold, then it’s man-caused climate change. If it’s uncommonly hot, it’s man-caused climate change. If it’s rains a lot, it’s humanity’s fault. If it doesn’t rain much, it’s man-caused climate change. If there are an unusual amount of hurricanes in a given year, then it’s man-caused climate change. If there are fewer hurricanes than normal, it’s man-caused climate change.

For that matter, even non-weather related phenomenon are the result of man-caused climate change. Basically man-caused climate change is responsible for everything from slow burnt toast to your computer running slow.

RUSH LIMBAUGH: The media creating ‘Polar Vortex’ to try and blame ‘cold’ on global warming

Rush Limbaugh opened his show today talking about a term he says the media has made up in order to make this cold air seem completely unprecedented, suggesting that this is part of ‘man-made global warming’. And that term is ‘polar vortex’. But Rush says the reality is that the arctic air always comes down in order to make us colder during the winter and there’s nothing new about this ‘polar vortex’.

    • stuckinIL4now

Rush is right. I can recall back to the 1960s stories of multiple years in every decade where we had at least a few days or a week of weather like this. I’ll give one, since everyone’s been talking about it: New Year’s Eve 1967 when the famous -13 Ice Bowl was played in Green Bay. I live outside of Chicago and it wasn’t exactly a beach day here, either. And here’s one for the globalarmists to get all wadded up about: Christmas 1982 it was 64 degrees, Christmas Eve 1983 it was -25.

    • OLLPOH ~ OurLifeLiberty

Before during and after…the 60’s 70’s 80’s 90’s 1000’s all over the earth there was and will be Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall…Mother nature has been read by millions and billions of people.

We knew our ancestors and it appears some folks do there best to read about more than, what is actually there…complacent and lazy they are…
Some of our ancestors read about it and proceeded to live… http://www.almanac.com/content/history-old-farmers-almanac, and then some just got out there and lived in it, worked in it, as it was the only way they knew to be and you learned to think and read the natural laws of the land…and it was life, they didn’t know how to be lazy or complacent…And they didn’t know the word or the meaning of surviving of the heat or cold, they looked to the naturalness around them. If the one’s that didn’t think or plan ahead, well they might have lived, they might have died. We weren’t taught what to think, we were taught to use what we were given…our minds, bodies and souls…And not to accept empty salutations from those who think they’ll rule the world with lies.

  • GrindingMills

I’m in the upper plains. Being sucked into a polar vortex is about as accurate as possible.

Damn that global warming. What could be worse than being sucked into a polar vortex? I’m praying for a wormhole to take me away from this insanity. Meteorologist? I think not!

    • Paige Jackson

Just reverse the polarity of the starboard thrusters, fercryinoutloud. Wesley Crusher used to do that all the time, and he was just a wee pencilneck slip of a lad.

The polar icecap melting has caused the US to be sucked into the polar vortex. How much more proof we need that greenhouse effect… erhm… el nino… ahh.. .I mean global warming… no I mean global cooling… no, no… I got it this time, climate change is in full effect.

    • Basset_Hound

And it’s all going to be over in three days when the temperatures moderate….I wonder what excuse they’ll come up with.

  • Cabover_Country

Hope the freezing Illinoisans are enjoying their power outages, thanks to their boy, who’s been shuttering coal fired power plants left & right.

Last summer we got raped by a derecho, now a polar vortex. WTF.?!! The boys at DARPA must have turned the knob up to 11 on HAARP.

  • Just Another Guy ✓ ✓ ✓ᵛᵉʳᶦᶠᶦᵉᵈ

Downright frosty here in Northeast Florida :) Think we’re going to hit the high 20s for a low. And back up into 70s in a couple days.

(It is relative ya know! Yesterday I was wearing shorts!)

Of course, back in 1989 we did have a snowstorm that pretty much shut down the city. Could we we’re about due for a little cold weather.

  • $29520529

I had a vortex once, I took a couple of aspirin and it vanished!

CNN should hire “that woman,” Lewinsky. Apparently she knows all about the suck.

“2013 Ratings: CNN ratings Hits 20-Year Low”

  • TheKingJAK

Lol, this happens every winter, even multiple times per season. This is simply the most widespread one in a couple of decades (In the D.C. area it’s already 5 Degrees Fahrenheit, with a Wind Chill of roughly -10 Degrees Fahrenheit, but only three years ago we had a couple of nights with -20 F. Wind Chills). When it was in the single digits a few nights ago I went for a jog with my sled dog, and I did the same tonight. I love snow and cold :-)

  • stuckinIL4now

Maybe we can get dueling vortexes and the polar vortex will suck us out of the Obamacare vortex of failure, disaster, corruption and suck.

  • FaithColeridge33

If it was a wormhole we could have asked for Cpt. Janeway’s help.
