Well, President Obama seems to have decided to stick his big old foot into his mouth once again. He decided to weigh in on the media’s latest breathless witch hunt: “Fake news.”
All of this post-election tut-tutting among the chattering classes about 'fake news' has a very Orwellian tenor to it.

Oh, really? More from Politico:
President Barack Obama weighed in on the growing debate over fake news, warning that it could poison politics to the point that “we won’t know what we’re fighting for.”
“And that should be remembered, because at an age where there’s so much active misinformation and its packaged very well and it looked the same when you see it on a Facebook page or you turn on your television,” Obama said Thursday at a joint news conference in Berlin with German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

You dumb rubes can’t be trusted with anything! Wow, how insulting, Mr. President.

Yep.
Of course, Obama has said such things before, as Politico also noted:
“And people, if they just repeat attacks enough, and outright lies over and over again, as long as it’s on Facebook and people can see it, as long as it’s on social media, people start believing it. And it creates this dust cloud of nonsense,” he said.
Wow. That’s unreal, coming from him. Standard operating procedure for Democrats is “repeat a lie often enough and it becomes the truth.”
