Yep. But, you know, silly rubes. Your betters, well, know better. That plan you love and want keep? You totally “didn’t choose that” anyway. Suckers! As NBC reported, the Obama administration knew you would lose your insurance plan. And lied about it anyway. Repeatedly. It continues to shamelessly do so.

The always brilliant Jon Gabriel continued his epic elite-slamming. And it was beautiful.

Actor Adam Baldwin weighed in as only he can:

Giggling madly. Ah, the Beltway bubble!

Double boom.

Math. It’s so very, very hard.

And this Twitter user brings it all home.

Indeed. We, the people, told you so. It would be funny if it weren’t so devastating.

Update: Iowahawk sums it up in style:

NBC News has weird technical issues with its bombshell Obamacare article

NBC reports ‘Obama knew millions would lose coverage’; Citizens wonder why media ignored facts about three year old law

FACT: These #ValerieJarrettFacts aren’t true either

The whole thing is like watching a horror movie. We all kept saying, “Don’t go down into the scary basement”, but the “smart” people were oblivious to reality.

In a just country, the morons who fell for this would be the only ones forced to suffer under it.

This reminds me of a Massachusetts radio host. He’s supposedly a conservative, but he went to all the “right” schools & he clearly wants to be in with the in-crowd. Whenever someone would bring up Stompy saying there were 57 states, he’d say, “Well, we all know he knows how many states there are; he was just misspeaking.” There’s this sort of weird acceptance among people who think of themselves as above everyone else–Sarah Palin & the TEA Party must be stupid, because they’re just self-made & went to state colleges, but the “elites” who went to Hah-vud are never wrong. Vomitous.

    • snowleopard (the true one)

Smart never has guaranteed a person has common sense or wisdom in combination with it. The leftists tend to have ‘smarts’ but are clueless and hooked to their ideology until reality smashes them hard on the rocks of truth.

You are absolutely right. Reading is the salvation out of the current school system. Reading has always been the most important thing for both my children and grandchildren. In my granddaughter’s high school, they are teaching card games, too! Right now, I am afraid many of our youth and young adults are unaware of how unprepared they are for life and living because they are so preoccupied with their phones. They revel in ignorance, proud of their lack of “edjumacation.” They want catch phrases and one word answers to explain everything. I was vilified, not long ago, for expressing an opinion outside of their liberal view. After ranting a few minutes I was informed that I listened to “too much talk radio” and “you get your news from Glen Beck.” I’ve never listened to talk radio and Beck doesn’t report the news, was my response. “Well, then where do you get your opinion?” I think for myself. Meanwhile, the true academic nerds with straight As but no ‘cool’, and the passing students with a healthy dose of common sense (and an ability to do basic math) took one look at him and his ideas and said “ain’t gonna fly”…and then it didn’t.

We may not be cool but we were never the caricature that the left used to denigrate and marginalize us. It was merely an exercise in high school hierarchy. Effective but untrue from an adult perspective.

The fact of the matter is, liberals will never admit they’re wrong. Ever. Even when it’s pointed out to them, they will perform all the mental gymnastics necessary to justify their thinking about the topic in question and their belief system in general. What we need is another Reagan to come out of the Conservative woodwork, to define why Conservatism works, and to tie that definition to a vision of this country’s future. Until this happens, we’ll still be wandering in the wilderness, and Socialism will continue to move FORWARD.

  • Groty1

Sorry, but the problem with this whole stream of consciousness is that the elites KNEW FULL WELL they were helping Democrats sell a pack of lies. The Tea Party knew about the lies, cared, and tried to stop it. The elite media knew about the lies, did not care, and made no effort to stop it. So everybody knew. The only difference is that the elite media acquiesced and tolerated the deception – in effect tolerating government coercion – since the whole Obamacare scheme is redistributive in character. Objective truth is irrelevant as long as the greater good is advanced. In simpler times, we called it “the end justifies the means”.

  • BAW

I do think they “believed” and probably still believe that once you “give” people something, make them dependent on government for it (SS, Medicare) that the people will “love it” and will never be willing to give it up. I know it’s stupid but I can at least understand how they came to that conclusion.

But with “universal health care” they thought they could just do it, didn’t matter if it worked, how it worked, and as always didn’t matter what the consequences were. So with Obamacare they haven’t ultimately given much of anything to very many people (free birth control? sex change operation coverage?) while they have taken far more away from far more people. And that’s just stupid piled on stupid.

    • Oblowz

I agree with your comments with one exception. Social Security retirement and Medicare are earned benefits not given.

      • BAW

My original thought had Medicaid on that list so maybe it was the added thinking and proofing that confused the point I was attempting to make. Of course, you are right, we are forced to contribute to SS and Medicare and therefore are due something for our money which only makes it more difficult to say fine do away with it and I’ll take nothing. It’s a different “hook” for a government program but same result. Once they get any government program going it’s hard to end it. I’m hoping that basic truth won’t work with Obamacare.

        • liberalssuck

If we did away with it, I probably wouldn’t mind, as I could invest that money into my Ira’s and 401’s. I myself would be better off as I could put more money away.

          • BAW

I believe it could be done and would be best for everyone.
I’ve been impressed with some of the ways people have figured out that could make it a fairly easy transition from government to private investments but of course that gets little support since it takes the money and control and power away from D.C. The left fights so hard against any reduction in government it’s a major battle for the right to change anything (welfare reform) and then on top of that, you have establishment Republicans cutting every effort off at the pass.

          • liberalssuck

Yup as it is always about control. Agree completely.

      • LegalizeShemp

Not true, the average male is taking $75k more out of SS than he put in, and the average female is taking $175k more than she put in, so the statement that “SS and Medicare are not entitlements” is not correct.

        • liberalssuck

True, but we still pay into them most if not all our working lives and we do get more out then put in due to longer lives. However that is not a true entitlement as one would think of it.
On a side not we need to remove it from the general fund where congress will keeps it’s fat fingers off it.
Note actually it is not considered part of the general fund. my bad.

          • LegalizeShemp

Any program that continues to pay out much more than it takes in will become insolvent eventually. The fact that SS and Medicare have become sacrosanct government programs will only increase the pain when you realize what shaky pyramid schemes those programs are.

          • liberalssuck

I can not disagree with you on any of that. We could have saved it and I still have hope we can. I seriously doubt I will see any benefits from it. I have a good 15 years to go before I can even entertain any thoughts of using it. Thank god I started saving early. So I paid in for something I will never get to use. I do feel cheated.

        • Malcolm Reynolds

“the average male is taking $75k more out of SS than he put in,”
Can you prove that? I took one of my statements not too long ago and calculated the avg benefit and life expectancy vs how much they’d take from me over my life. And that’s assuming my payment going in and payments going out will remain constant. and they wont. I’m expecting something on the order of 2% back.

    • liberalssuck

Folks do not want to believe that if you count on the government for your substance, they own you.

      • BAW

I think the left has done a remarkable job of convincing those who are owned, that they are instead owed.

All you have to do is deal with people who have things given to them and have no appreciation whatsoever to see the “entitlement” mentality that has been created.

It’s different with SS and Medicare (or veterans benefits for that matter) as Nobama rightly pointed out but it all gets lumped together and confused as part of what we the people, through the government, owe the people.

I think. But now I’m sort of confusing myself.

        • liberalssuck

I do not count SS or even medicade as entitlements. We pay into them all our working lives. Nor do I count veteran’s benefits. they earned those. I am talking welfare and it should be there to helps folks who have fallen on hard times, however it should never be a career path as some have made it. Those are the one’s who are owned and will fight to stay owned.
I understand what you are trying to say.

Reid is more evidence that liberalism is truly a mental illness! I have tried to explain to others about the subsidy tax and they just laugh.

          • LegalizeShemp

SS and Medicare ARE entitlements, since people are taking much more out of them than they are putting in. Nothing wrong with taking out what you put in, but once you take out more, that’s an entitlement and welfare too.

          • liberalssuck

I do not disagree with the fact we do take more out then we pay in. However unlike welfare the receipt has to pay nothing to get it. Hence why I my self do not count it as an entitlement.

          • BAW

Agree but some do get more and some don’t. People who die before they get to retirement age get nothing but then they did expand that to provide survivors benefits so that not as many “get nothing.”

At this point in time, when I do collect SS and I plan to it’s not just all the years I’ve paid in but also that I have three grown children paying into a system they never expect to get anything back from.

I’m trying to figure out why you and Liberalssuck are making sense to me.

          • BAW

Can I think both you and Legalize are making good points? Can I just think that it’s the left’s bastardization of the meaning of words that makes it all so confusing?

  • lynnie

as a tea party supporter I’ve been living & breathing this stuff for 7 years. I’m content now to sit back & watch implosion.

Best part about obamacare that no one can sign up. Is the drug manufacturers are loosing billions in toxic drugs.

It’s not that the lib Cognoscenti who peddle and cheer-lead for BarryCare are stupid as much as they are pathologically dishonest.

It’s their target audience — the Ignorati of the donkey party faithful — who are the morons.

I saw a Dave Ramsey video on YouTube recently, in which he tried to portray things like BarryCare not as a “left vs. right” problem, but rather as a “math” problem — like the trouble was that people couldn’t count or something. What he missed was the central point that it WAS a left vs. right problem, or rather a donks vs. America problem: it’s not that the people who foisted BarryCare on us couldn’t “do” the math, it’s that they were LYING about it.

The “elites” aren’t stupid. They know that BarryCare is a lit-fuse bomb that they have planted to blast the system of private insurance to smithereens, so the way would be clear to replace it with a full-blown nationalization of healthcare.

And it’s not just the tea party types that the “elites” think are idiots. They’re not so discriminating.

The problem is, they’re right about too many people.

    • BAW

My youngest son sent me a link to that video. He was impressed with it. But he’s not your typical young adult, he has a business/engineering degree with an economics minor.

But we both thought Ramsey did do a good job of presenting the basics in a simple, non political way which might get through to some. (I was encouraged that it was young adults spreading it around.)

I actually think you’re giving the “elites” more credit than they deserve. I think they are stupid about some very basic things, like math or at least fundamental economic realities. Sometimes I swear it seems to me that Obama thinks he can just say something and that makes it so. Not that I don’t agree that they are also “pathologically dishonest.” I think they’re that too. Particularly in regards to lying to themselves about their own brilliance and superiority.

  • LegalizeShemp

We “get it” Kriegar, you’re a lying, mentally disturbed Kool-Aid drinking Communist ! What’s not to get?

  • LegalizeShemp

Note how Kreigar blames conservatives for the obvious failure of left wing collectivist programs conceived of, implemented by, and supported by Marxists. When something good happens, he credits leftist collectivist government, and when something bad happens, he blames free marketers, capitalists, profits and citizens. That’s the mental disorder known as liberalism, it’s irrational, devoid of facts and rabidly reflexive, like most dangerous political movements.

“Obama led you idiots into a box canyon ambush and few of you will survive politically to tell the tale”
Unfortunately not. There is no lie too big, no reach around too much for democrats to leave their plantation.
