Ha! Sen. Reid is channeling Nancy Pelosi. You have to confirm Obama nominees in order to see who they are!

Reid took the idiocy one step further Monday morning, after floating the idea of Chelsea “the daughter” Clinton for president.

Good grief.

The always awesome Amanda Carpenter gave Reid the business.

Other Twitter users also point out a staggering lack of self-awareness.

But, hey, perhaps Reid is promising us something?

That would be a start! Since you are super serious and all, Sen. Reid, make it happen!

  • HARP2

Your mind swings both ways huh Harry…depending if you`re in power or not.

  • The Penguin

No, we have no problem with the House. Our problem is: 1) You. 2) Nancy Pelosi.

  • grais

Aren’t ‘gridlock’ and ‘getting nothing done’ the same thing?
And, for the record, I applaud congressional gridlock. The less those idiot-lifers do, the less they can screw us over.

  • Gloves Donahue

Mealy-mouthed Harry is a tremendous success, if his plan was to become a confused, spiteful, bitter crone with no ethics whatsoever.

  • $27789750

Now that he brings up Senate being obsolete, we have been getting along nicely without them for a while now. Looks as if he has something there.

  • OLLPOH ~ America

We now understand Harry, No vetting is necessary Harry; because of why Harry? Is it because when Obama decides who he wants, everyone is suppose to bow because Obama gets what Obama wants…
hmmmmm Harry, sounds much like a Mob operation Harry and you’re one of his bosses.

  • ObamaFail

I think we need to make sure that her replacement isn’t an America hating piece of liberal trash who will half-assed their job in the name of political correctness.

  • NRPax

If you’re stuck in gridlock Harry, that means you aren’t harming any of us. I don’t see the problem.

  • MSM

Reid doesn’t actually want to do it. He knows his threat is hollow. He just desperately wants to cow the republicans into voting for Obama’s union boys. That’s how the democrats work. They always want the GOP to be forced into these “compromises” or basically drag them through the mud.

If Harry Reid follows through on his threat, the democrats will ultimately pay the price. They hate to dirty their hands thought.

The GOP should play it smart and not back down. If Reid wants to try the 51 then let him try. But whatever happens, the GOP must not vote in Obama’s union thugs.

  • Susan Reaney

The question that everyone should be asking is; What happens to the NLRB case going before SCOTUS in October if those 3 appointments are approved by the Senate?

Make no mistake, Harry is out to cover the POTUS’ ass and that all Harry’s trying to do!

  • feduppianoman

What rational person would approve someone or pass major legislation where both have the power to affect American lives in unimaginably destructive ways without knowing who they are or what’s in the legislation prior to approving either. The answer is no one. Only truly insane, irrational, and evil people would even suggest that we do, and yet we are allowing them to get away with this bs.

    • Osama0bama

“Only truly insane, irrational, and evil people would even suggest that we do.”

Congrats. You just perfectly summarized the mind of every Liberal & Progressive.

  • ceemack

The most obstructive, least responsible majority leader in the history of the Senate is complaining about gridlock? Seriously?

Can we please send Harry off to the retirement home? His senile dementia has progressed much too far for him to be living on his own…or running the Senate.

  • AMERICAN Kafir™(KAdams)

“There are two reasons why the public dislikes Congress: 1) gridlock and 2) getting nothing done. #EndGridlock”

.@SenatorReid Actually, the MAIN reason is you, the second is Nancy “pass it before you read it” Pelosi. You poor, poor deluded old man.

  • neoface

Reid should just disappear into his hellhole and take Pelosi and Holder with him.

  • http://youhavetobethistalltogoonthisride.blogspot.com/ keyboard jockey

Am I the only one that remembers how the democrats in the US Senate treated republican Supreme Court nominee Justice Clarence Thomas? Why do twitter users let him get away with his bogus hashtag for gridlock?

  • alanstorm

“The power of an extreme minority now threatens the integrity of the Senate”

I’m not a lawyer, but I’m pretty sure you can’t threaten something that’s dead.

    • Vennoye

I’m thinking that ole Harry is talking about my state’s newest Senator–which we all love, Ted Cruz when he says “The power of an extreme minority now threatens the integrity of the Senate.” The combination of brains, experience fearlessness and integrity has got to be overwhelming to ole Harry!!

  • I M Free

just like Pelosi. Pass the bill so you’ll know what’s in it.

  • missyree68

Harry Reid is just a creepy, crazy little man. He and Nancy seem like beings that between the two of them never speak a coherent believable thought. Every family has these people and we avoid them at all costs.

  • bluewaternavy

I heard that Harry is a Paedophile!

    • AZWarrior

From what I hear, just boys.

  • Wally West

The only obstructing going on is you in the Senate, Harry Reid and the corrupted Obama administration.

  • TocksNedlog

“Name a single Obama Cabinet nominee who has been defeated by the #Senate. Just one.”
    — Exactly. There have been nominees that, usually due to problems in their past, withdrew their names from consideration, but NO Obama cabinet nominee has had his/her nomination denied by means of a Senate vote.

  • arttie

I’m sorry Reid’s mirror is broken. That is why he cannot seem to find the answer. He is a broken digital clock, never correct or right.

  • Jack Deth

    Memo to Mr. Reid:

Be careful what you wish for. No one on the opposite side of the aisle would shed a tear at your resignation and leaving.

  • Dog of the Sun

Stop putting words in the mouths of our “Founding Fathers”, Chances are they would pimp slap you and Nancy with the flat side of a musket!

  • Jodysworkin

I like how the dem’s wanna get rid of the filibuster for the Republicans in the fed senate but they hold up this lady in texas that used it to try and stop the abortion bill as song freakin hero. Man! Libs are the crazzzzziessstests peoples. #Liberalismisamentaldisorder

  • HWarrior13

Remind me again what “getting nothing done” in the government is a bad thing ?

  • DV S1EOG

So this moron is threatening the nuclear option. If I was the Republicans in the Senate, I would smile at him and tell him to go ahead. I would then explain that once the Dems are the minority in the Senate, that nuclear option would be used to hurt the Democrats at every available option.

  • DrSamHerman

Funny coming from a liar who deliberately abused his Senate immunity to make false claims about Romney and his tax returns, who so badly mismanaged his own supermajority and failed to enact immigration reform on their terms and who still hasn’t been able to pass a final budget for five years.

If Harry were in the private sector, he would have been prosecuted for criminal inefficiency and masquerading as a human being. He is the most incompetent Senate majority leader. LBJ, as odious and disgusting as he was, would have chewed up Reid and spit him out by this point.

  • Herman LaClair

    Harry Reid:
I’m the leader of the Senate. The Senate is broken. Republicans are responsible.

  • Jeremy

    Dingy Harry at it again

The lack of self-reflection on the part of Reid is both amazing and alarming. How is the work progressing on a budget, Harry? You know, the one the Senate is supposed to pass by law?
