Bob Costas: "Redskins can't possibly honor a heritage… It's an insult, a slur, no matter how benign the present-day intent."

We’d hoped Bob Costas would have decided not to wade into the controversy pool anymore after last year’s halftime anti-gun lecture, but it was not to be.
At halftime of the Washington/Dallas game, Costas took the opportunity to offer his opinion of the name “Redskins”:
I love Bob Costas, I've had the honor to meet him. He's active in the St. Louis Community, I hate that he's turning into Keith Olbermann.

On a Sunday night, most NFL fans just want to be left alone to watch football:
I will now only refer to Bob Costas as "Skippy".. The word Costas offends me. #HoorayLiberalism

Figures, the ONE week I don't make my Bob Costas joke… #SNF

Yet another year where Bob Costas lectures the American people on how terrible we are. Go away Bob. Nobody cares what you think. #SNF

This Bob Costas halftime monologue on "Redskins" is physically painful. Back to football please.

"Hi, I'm Bob Costas, and I want to weigh in on the Redskins name controversy because I'm the patron midget of self-righteousness."

Oh great, Bob Costas on the Redskins name controversy, this won't make my ears bleed.
— Greg Tepper (@Tepper) October 14, 2013
Im surprised Costas didn't try to somehow correlate the Redskins name to gun violence, might as well go for the uber-headline grab

How funny is it that NBC just had Costas crush the Redskins for their name but they have a Redskin graphic for the down and distance marker

Don't miss Costas' post-game essay urging "Patriots" name change b/c it's offensive to the IRS

Here’s video of Costas describing when a team name is acceptable in combination with a more benign mascot, or something:
Suggestion of the week:
You people watching Bob Costas so know there's a great baseball game going on, right?
