Wife of 2009 Fort Hood shooting victim: 'Have we not learned from Nov. 5?'

Many have called for servicemen to be armed on base, but Autumn Manning has a special perspective: her husband, Staff Sgt. Shawn Manning, was shot six times by Maj. Nidal Hasan at Fort Hood in Nov. 2009. Hasan has since been sentenced to death, but that didn’t prevent a second mass shooting at Fort Hood, where servicemen found themselves rendered helpless, again.

Autumn Manning is asking for not only prayers for the latest victims, but also for soldiers to be allowed to carry arms on base.

Manning isn’t alone in her beliefs.
