The New York Times’ humble suggestion this morning to “add green peas to your guacamole” turned out to be one of the most controversial things the newspaper has written in recent memory, sparking a ridiculous amount of traffic on social media. (Does anyone even know what was on the front page of the New York Times today?)
Another hot topic on Twitter today was #AskPOTUS, President Obama’s live Q&A session that was supposed to be about the Affordable Care Act and health care. Seeing as the president’s last live Twitter session on climate change quickly evolved into a chat about the NBA, it was inevitable that someone would ask about peas in guacamole — that counts as health care, right?
He faces a tough recipe question about peas in guacamole. Doesn't care for the peas. Prefers onions, garlic, hot peppers. "Classic," he says

The president didn’t have much time to spare, but once he gets started on his signature piece of legislation …
Asked his favorite song: "was listening to outkast/liberation and the black keys/lonely boy this morning." No mention of "Davy Crockett."

OK, there’s time for one NBA question.
