California Governor Jerry Brown isn’t impressed with Rick Perry’s new radio ad, in which Perry tells Californian listeners how much nicer things are in Texas.  However, in responding to the relatively meager airtime Perry purchased, Brown may have given Golden State residents another reason to flee.

“It’s not a serious story, guys,” the Californian Democrat told reporters at a business event, the Sacramento Bee reported Tuesday. “It’s not a burp. It’s barely a fart.”

It must be so nice for the people of California to know that they have such a classy governor — who doesn’t think twice about using the word “fart” in front of the media.

Pity New York Times reporter Adam Nagourney, who says he won’t be able to write about Brown’s comment:

Maybe if he translates Brown’s remarks to Latin?

Oh, that’s too bad.

Perry should come back and say Texas doesn’t put a carbon tax on farts.

  • Brian Roastbeef

Eh… is “fart” really anything new or different considering the guy is always talking out his arse?

  • Calcat36

Leave him alone. He simply had a brain fart.

    • Ben Bollman

      Yes, a decades-long one

  • WilliamAmos

There’s no fart like an old fart

  • BeeKaaay

Jerry Brown’s policies stink like a fart.

Next on South Park: Terrence and Phillip visit California and repeatedly fart on Governor Brown’s head.

    • Ken Alan Draper

      LOL!! that would kick arse!

Quite possibly a brilliant move by Perry. He buys a minimal amount of advertising time in California and Brown makes a comment like this which results in his ad receiving national attention. Not a bad investment.
