The Democrat U.S. Senate primary race is now between Haley Stevens and Abdul El-Sayed. Mallory McMorrow dropped out in early July. Stevens holds a slight lead in recent polls over El-Sayed. He’s labeled a progressive but has ties to the Democratic Socialists of America; meanwhile, Stevens is being marketed as the ‘centrist Democrat.’ Stevens and elitist Democrats would have you believe she’s the "authentic" candidate who speaks from her heart.

When she says she ‘speaks from the heart,’ she means the 'heart' of her computer’s printer.
Her canned speech isn’t the only reason people are doubting her authenticity. It’s her annoying voice, too.

Speaking of Saturday Night Live, some say she looks like a late comedian who was once on the late-night show. Stevens does seem like a not-ready-for-primetime-player on the national stage.

The elites (aka establishment Democrats) have picked her because El-Sayed will be impossible to control if he clears the primary and then wins the general election.
Whatever that dialect Stevens is spewing, it seems she’s been advised to keep at it.
It's obvious her consultants told her to lean into it, so ok fine. But her execution here comes off as wholly performative.

Democrats desperately want to win back blue-collar voters. They tried to make obviously fake candidates like Tim Walz and Graham Platner into working-class, normal Americans and failed spectacularly. With Stevens as their choice, it’s clear Democrats have learned nothing.
