As Twitchy told you, a man opened fire this afternoon in Fresno, killing three people. According to multiple witness accounts, the suspect,Kori Ali Muhammad, yelled “Allahu Akbar.”
Here’s how the Associated Press reported the story:
Fresno police say suspect in triple slaying told them he hates white people, shouted "God is great" before killings. https://t.co/rrSOzfEXaB
— The Associated Press (@AP) April 18, 2017
“God is great,” huh?
@AP are you sure ?
— Trivago Guy (@trivago_guy) April 18, 2017
There's a possibly important detail missing from this headline. https://t.co/aBhsTLdeXA

Possibly very important.
@AP Good grief. He said Allahu Akbar!
— Yuuuge and bigly (@BarbLovesUSA) April 18, 2017
Didn’t the AP think that was worth mentioning?
Come again,@ap? pic.twitter.com/c43fKnH6KT

@AP Did he translate Allahu Akbar into English for you before shooting?
— Michael Babb (@p25735) April 18, 2017

— Frank Miani (@FJM2425) April 18, 2017
@AP Why are you lying, @AP? He shouted "Allahu Akbar!", not "God is great!"
— Sean K. Davis (@sean_k_davis) April 18, 2017
He shouted Allahu Akbar, not "God is Great". Get your shit together @AP. https://t.co/1KSDFjzvrN

The AP is apparently OK with violating its own style guidelines.
@AP If you're going to put it in quotes, you must give exact quote.
— Jen Goode (@jensgoodes) April 18, 2017
Quotes are to be used for things actually said according to @APStylebook
Does @ap now not use its own Stylebook when agenda driven? https://t.co/ppvqzubaUE
— Lee Doren (@LDoren) April 18, 2017
Evidently.

@AP I find it creepy when American news agencies go out of their way to deceive its readers.
— RmAc (@elysian2017) April 18, 2017
@AP @pspoole Dear @AP – This is why you are regularly denigrated as #fakenews
